What we’re looking for:

We are seeking a Subject Matter expert in Utility Rates and Renewable Energy to join the Operations team. This individual will have an opportunity to be the key person in the company responsible for and owning the rate data which is the critical part of the Arcadia platform. The person will closely work with product , engineering and commercial teams on data strategies and initiatives. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding and extensive experience of the Electric Utility domain including retail tariffs and retail programs such as net billing, distributed generation, storage, demand response, and market-based rates

Arcadia is headquartered in Washington, DC, and open to fully remote candidates.

What you'll do:

  • Serve as the functional and technical authority on the internal data models and structures.
  • Product Owner of the Management Tools and Processes which support the tariff rate models
  • Authority on utility data including electricity tariffs, incentives and ancillary programs, researching utility tariffs, state commission rules and state laws.
  • Consulting across business operations, providing mentorship, and supplying specialized knowledge.
  • Recommending solutions and determining requirements for improvements of the internal tools and processes.
  • Being responsible for the testing, and implementation of customer data requirements
  • Documenting processes and disseminating information to all relevant collaborators.

What will help you succeed:

Must-haves:

  • 5-10 years of experience working in the retail electric rates and renewable energy domain (solar, storage, demand response, EVs)
  • Experience as a utility or business analyst, or similar role
  • Process development and project management
  • Ability to recommend technical solutions for cross-functional projects.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Knowledge of systems to successfully integrate subject expertise in software solutions.
  • Sophisticated knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts.
  • Experience researching electric utility rate cases, or similar policy research experience.

Target Annual Compensation Range for this role will be $85,000 to $145,000. There will also be a competitive benefits and equity (bonus if applicable) component to the package. The exact compensation at which this job is filled will be determined by the skills, experience, and location of the qualified candidate.
