About the role

As Flex enters our next chapter of growth, we are hiring an experienced Product leader to own our Consumer product portfolio across both existing products and new product expansion. This portfolio includes our core rent payment offering, associated consumer benefits (budgeting, credit building), the overall consumer lifecycle with Flex, and consumer growth/retention/satisfaction. Flex works in a hybrid setup with a NYC HQ, and we are searching for a product leader who would be based in the NYC area.

What you’ll do

You will serve as the primary owner of Flex’s consumer facing product offerings. In this capacity, you will:

  • Develop and own Flex’s consumer product strategy
  • Hire and grow a high-performing team of product managers
  • Drive development of all consumer facing offerings from concept to high quality landings, in close partnership with engineering and design leadership
  • Own critical top level business drivers for a rapidly growing fintech
  • Partner with the CEO, cofounder, and function owners to land the right end-to-end consumer experience

Key qualifications

  • Product: 10+ years of product management experience with a track record of driving impact on your product(s) and ideally experience as owner of a rapidly growing consumer product
  • Management: 5+ years of experience hiring and managing product managers in a fast-paced environment
  • Analytical horsepower: You dig deep into the data, think from first principles, and deliver the right results
  • Communication: High attention to detail including precise and effective communication with senior stakeholders
  • Low ego: As a rapidly growing startup, all of our leaders are also “doers”. You need to be eager to both build/lead a team and dive in when opportunities arise
  • Pace: Desire for fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

The national pay range for this role is $255,000-$300,000 in base salary. Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience aligned with Flex's internal leveling guidelines and benchmarks.
