About the role

Flex has grown our core flexible rent consumer product/business by distributing it through our rapidly growing network of property management company partners. This core business is growing extremely fast through a B2B2C motion. To date, we have grown this network through an offline sales/partnerships motion, without offering a product interface to the property management companies who make up this network.

As we enter our next phase of growth, we plan to build out the property management facing product, with a focus on offering visibility and control over how their residents use Flex. We expect this to become the core “hub” for these partners, and we need a product owner to drive this from concept to scaled product. Career growth in this role is expected with the growth/success of the product.

This role will be hybrid in-office 3 days/week (M W TH) out of our NYC office (Union Square)

What you’ll do

You will serve as the product owner for the Flex property manager experience. In this capacity, you will:

  • Develop and own Flex’s product strategy around the property manager experience with Flex. This is a net new product surface for the business customer in Flex’s B2B2C model
  • Move fast to define, derisk, launch, and iterate on a new product that we expect to be material to Flex’s long term growth and business outcomes.
  • Partner with our CPO and CTO to recruit, hire and grow the high-performing team required to build/land this product.
  • Partner with Flex’s CEO, cofounder, and Chief Product Officer to land this new product as fast as possible

Key qualifications

  • Product: 5+ years of product management experience with a track record of driving impact on your product(s) and ideally experience as owner of a rapidly growing B2B2C or B2B product
  • Customer obsession: You love to dig into deeply understanding your customer and their problems, as you believe that is where the best product insights come from
  • Analytical horsepower: You dig deep into the data, think from first principles, and deliver the right results
  • Communication: You communicate precisely and effectively with customers, cross functional partners, and senior leadership
  • Scrappy: You are eager to wear multiple hats as a leader and a “doer”, who will do what is required to land a new product at high quality rapidly.
  • Pace: You want a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

The national pay range for this role is $191,000-$204,000 in base salary. Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience aligned with Flex's internal leveling guidelines and benchmarks.
