Overview:

The Senior Frontend Engineer plays a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining frontend components of the Measurabl application while also contributing to the overall architecture of the software. With a focus on frontend development, this role involves spearheading the creation of user interfaces, optimizing user experience, and ensuring seamless integration with backend systems. While primarily concentrated on frontend development, the Senior Frontend Engineer may also collaborate on various aspects of software development based on team requirements. This position requires expertise in frontend technologies, specifically React and Typescript although Angular is a plus, advanced problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, scalable solutions.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

The essential functions and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Development & Infrastructure

  • Lead the frontend development of Measurabl applications

  • Design and implement new features, as well as modify existing codebase to accommodate evolving requirements

  • Debug and troubleshoot existing applications, addressing defects and performance issues

  • Integrate third-party software solutions into the Measurabl ecosystem, ensuring seamless compatibility

  • Refactor legacy code to improve maintainability and scalability

  • Write automated unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability

  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for live systems, ensuring high availability and performance

  • Collaborate with platform architects and engineers to optimize software and system performance

  • Stay updated on relevant frontend technologies, trends, and best practices to drive continuous improvement

  • Identify business opportunities and challenges, translating them into actionable solutions

Collaboration

  • Partner with other Development team members to improve existing software or design new applications

  • Contribute to, determine, and follow development standards

  • Effectively demonstrate technical solutions to other software engineers in code reviews

  • Participate in team code reviews and provide thoughtful commentary and assistance where needed

  • Provide recommendations to management for improving documentation and software development process standards

  • Convey domain knowledge to teammates and serve as a thought leader and partner to those within the team

  • Provide mentorship to support the development of more junior team members in their ability to code and support the Measurabl application

Education & Experience:

  • 7-10 years of experience as a Frontend Engineer in a professional setting

  • A portfolio of work that demonstrates ability to develop and release a web application as well as build internal tools preferably with React and Typescript

  • A demonstrated ability to work closely with designers and design systems

  • A demonstrated ability to decompose UIs into reusable parts

  • A combination of professional or educational experience (whether formal or informal) that affords you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities above

  • Located in Pacific or Mountain time zone is preferred

Supervisory Responsibility:
  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities

Compensation Range:

  • $138,000-$172,000
